We were aware that there were issues with the foundation, but we didn't know the extent of the issues until Steve expressed genuine concern about the condition. The sellers told us they received an estimate for repair for only $4000, but Steve made it clear that the damage is far worse than a $4000 repair. Finally! I purchased four homes over the years and... read moreFinally! I purchased four homes over the years and for the first three, I used the inspector my realtor recommended out of naïveté. After purchasing the first three homes, I would quickly find problems inspectors had missed. Things I could have had fixed or been compensated for buy the buyers! For my fourth home I did my homework and found Steven Cmielewski at Liberty. He checked every inch of my house thoroughly, and even took time to explain how certain utilities I was unfamiliar with worked. Thanks to Steve, I insisted the seller reduce the price for a working but "rigged to work" furnace. Sure enough, after three months in the house, it went! For the first time there were no surprises and the seller couldn't pull one over on me! He was on time, didn't rush through like most, and was actually worth the money for once! read less
